The project started during my one year stay in Portugal, and in particular in Lisbon.
I was fascinated by the original portuguese tiles called Azulejos.
Combining these traditional ceramics and contemporary design with the QR Code technology, the project aims to suggest a new way to interact with the city, both for tourist and for residents, with the intention of giving beautiful and useful art pieces.
The QR Code is meant to be unique for each tile, giving specific informations.

The Collection includes 30 tiles about Lisbon, inspired by the traditional Azulejos that I reinvented with unique illustrations for each peace representing the point of interest, such as monuments, churches, traditional spots, panoramic views and located closed to it.
As the capital of Portugal is a rare case of multicultural city, with different style for its districts, the tiles are divided according to them. Each district has a different color combination and shape for the central QR Code.
The concept is in beta version. All QR codes will link the site to the next step.
